Who am I? Why should I care?

As I said before, my name is Khalifa AL Fahim , and Im a student in the Higher colleges of technology . My hobbies have nothing to do with going outside so that means that i really dont care about global warming , but the thing is that I want my kids in the future to live in a world that is cool and safe so that they can play outside for as long as they want without having to worry about dehydration every 5 minutes.
There are many things that we can do to help stop global warming here are a few suggestions:
1. dont use cars too much ,walk a little bit its good for you!
2.stop smoking because it contributes to global warming(seriously)
3.dont use electricity if you don't need it.
4.but environmental friendly products.
these were just some suggestions but there are much more if you want you could look it up in WWW.WIKIPEDIA.COM

Global Warming here?

In this last few years , especially this one , we noticed some of the effects of global warming. This last winter we had deep rains all over the UAE which is not normal for this region of the world. And now the weather has already reached a temperature over 45 degrees celsius and it still the beginning of the summer, and the weather is expected to rise dramatically in the next few weeks.
The reason for this is because the UAE has contributed alot to the rise of carbon emissions in the atmosphere , by burning and processing natural gas on an industrial scale. The Emirates sends out more carbon emissions than all of Afghanistan! and it gets worse, the population of cars is growing every hour , that means that carbon emissions will just grow and grow and if we dont do something about it we will all be in great danger.
Here is the good news, the UAE governments are starting to think about the future ,and know the dangers that global warming can bring. For example , The government is going to introduce a law that forces factories and cars to have a catalyst that would stop some of the CO2 emissions , and the government is is also encouraging car companies to produce environmentally friendly cars.

Who is to blame?

We are all to blame for this disaster... but to be fair , its our governments who should take the blame because they did not do anything about it until very recently. The reason why politicians did not do anything about this problem is so simple , they believed that global warming was not a real threat , and all the hype about our planet getting warmer was just a conspiracy theory. The thing is that petrol is the biggest business in our human history , and we all know the gases that petrol releases when it burns causes most of the green house gases.
We also contribute to global warming by doing normal day to day chores like driving a car, using more water and electricity than we really need.
Did you know that these items destroy our atmosphere ?
  • some bottled deodorants
  • refrigerator fluid
  • car fumes
  • even water heaters are known to release gases!!

Global What?!

Global warming happens when the temperature of the earth increases due to CO2 , and other pollutants in the atmosphere. What happens to the pollutants that our cars and factories send out is not rocket science, what happens is really simple , when the gases reach the outer layer of the planet it gets stuck in the outer atmosphere , then what happens is called the green house effect.
The reason its called the green house effect , is because it acts in the same way the green houses we use in earth works , when the heat produced by the sun bounces back into space , it gets trapped in the atmosphere by the ever thickening layer of pollutants. And the thicker it gets , the hotter the planet will be! There are many things to do to stop this global mence , but ill go into more detail in the next post.
